Private Tutoring

I also work as a private tutor in, English Literature and Language, literacy, teaching English as a foreign language, and as a creative writing tutor/mentor.  I like to tailor the approach in order to cater specifically to the wants of my students, and I believe that the best way to learn is to have as much fun as is possible!

English Literature and Language: I primarily tutor at GCSE and A-level, however I do also work with younger ages.  I like to share my joy in literature and language and try to pass this on - my students humour me!

Literacy: Combining looking at literature - reading brilliant texts, grammar and spelling tips, and practise in the form of writing - particularly creative writing - is I think a great way to work on literacy.  It's not necessarily a short journey, but hopefully an enjoyable one.

English as a Foreign Language: I am CELTA qualified and am available to teach English as a Foreign Language individually or in group lessons.

Creative Writing Lessons: I can provide assistance with redrafting of works, or lessons focussing on specific skills, for people of any level, individually or in groups.
