Intro:

I am a writer, primarily of short stories.
Writers who I hope have influenced me include F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner and James Baldwin.
I am particularly interested in the rhythm and sounds of words, the physical side of language, and how this influences the impact that a story has on the reader.
Because of this I plan to record some of my stories and put them online in the hope of getting some listeners.

P.S. I have finally finished reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series.  Amazing.  He has an eye for new ways of saying things, but also that clipped, succinct style I love.  I hope he's influenced me too.

P.P.S. while in the US I wrote one full draft and a few halves and beginnings of new stories.  And now I'm writing many more.  And I've even finished a couple more now (well roughly).  Good times.

Hopefully soon below you'll find some dates when I'm reading out stuff.
